Becoming A Member

The Moorestown Fire Department is always looking for qualified volunteers. We welcome people with a desire to make a difference and give back to their community.

Interested men and women need to meet certain medical and physical requirements and be willing to complete a basic firefighter training course that includes Hazardous Material Awareness and Operations.

Once initial training is completed, members are ready to respond to a variety of emergencies and employ the use of many pieces of high-tech equipment to control hazardous situations.

It is gratifying to know that as a volunteer firefighter you are providing a valuable service to your community, serving a cause, working with people, solving problems, seeing benefits and knowing you have a hand in them. You also share in the camaraderie of being a member of a skilled team of men and women ready and able to help their neighbor in an emergency.

The difference between ‘ordinary’ and ‘extraordinary’ is just that little ‘extra’
