Moorestown Fire District No. 1 is governed by a Board of Fire Commissioners. The Board of Fire Commissioners provides a forum for addressing fire protection and prevention issues, develops technical and performance standards for training of fire service personnel, and is responsible for the budget of the district.

The Board of Fire Commissioners meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00PM at the Main Street Fire Station located at 261 West Main Street. These meetings are open to the public.
